Thegn's Thorn
Collaboration with Elias Sideris

A collaboration with my good friend Elias Sideris. He has made a beautiful sax that I am sheathing. This sax is the perfect distillation of the form in my eyes.
It is made of pattern welded steel, a high layer edge, a straight core, and a wrought iron spine. The handle is antler, brass, and beautifully figured walnut. It is inscribed 'Ilias.me.on.hamtunscire.gewordet' on the bolster, and named 'thegns thorn' on the butt cap.
