14th Century Knife

This knife is based on a knife found in England from the 14th century. It is outlined in the book Knives and Scabbards - Medieval Finds from Excavations in England. I copied the dimensions as well as I could and even used the same wood as the orignal. The only difference is that the original was not pattern welded.

It is a small knife that fits well into the hand and sports a thick spine and keen edge. It is one of the simpler looking knives I have made but has a real simplistic beauty to it.
