Garnet Viking Utility Knife

This small utility knife is made in antique tool steel from a die and stamp making factory and hardened without clay into water. There is slight watering in the grain of the steel and this blade took a nice cloudy hamon. The handle is made in carved bird's eye maple with an insert garnet in a sterling silver bezel.

The sheath is carved in a similar style to the handle, dyed an aged red and finished with a sterling silver ring and suspension clip.
