Wolf Tooth Anglo Saxon Seax

This is a beautiful pattern welded seax made by my good friend Luke Shearer in 1084 with a wrought iron wolf tooth done in the Anglo Saxon style. He made the handle from cherry wood and gave it wonderful detailed carvings.

Once it arrived with me my task was to make a sheath for it. I chose to base the leather carvings off a historical seax sheath that has similar tooling. The edges are sealed with glue with sterling silver rivets as support and thin leather strips used for suspension.
