Zeb's Wolf Tooth Seax

This is a seax forged by Zeb Deming. He made the gorgeous blade and handle and I took it from there to create a sheath for it. The blade is made from wrought iron, 15n20, and W2 for the edge, with a wrought iron wolf's tooth forged into the iron near the edge.

It is based on the sheath for the smaller knife I have from him. This sheath was waxed to provide protection from the elements. The brass fittings are decorated with a scribe and sawed to form 'pyramids' often seen on period sheaths. The brass ring is forged and formed in another period style often seen on knife sheaths and for hanging other tools.
